It has come to the attention of the committee that some drivers have been either not wearing fireproof tops or wearing short sleeve tops. As of today this will no longer be accepted. The short sleeve fireproof tops do not meet SFI or FIA standards so therefor cannot be worn. Any driver that turns up to a meeting with short sleeve fireproof underwear or no fireproof underwear will not be permitted to race.

Hi Rob. Can you clarify this rule from NASR • Underwear Underwear must be worn conforming with SFI 3.3, FIA 8856-2000 or FIA ISO 6940 (ISO6940 is allowed until June 30, 2010) . All drivers must wear cotton under-garments
As one of our competitors with a short sleeve underwear top says it is marked as complying with SFI 3.3 manufactured in 2008 And ther certainly appears to be no mention of short sleeves in either the NASR rulebook or the NASR website.

Peter Can you get mw any info from the lable on the top.eg brand name, manufacturer and what it complies with. NASR said that there was definately no short sleeves allowed. If you only have short sleeves you are not fully protected.
